Male and female idols can't even stand next to each other without people losing their minds. I think the current landscape is just too toxic. Too many people male/female idol friendships as negative. Like every time Moonbin and SinB interact or mention each other there are plenty of "they're just rubbing their relationship in their fan's faces" comments.
Siblings are the only way it could potentially work.
