    As an outsider looking in and a fan of smaller ggs like pixy loona purple kiss and new ult group kep1er why does aespa get so much success with fake vocals poor stage presence and scandal after scandal? Why them and not actually talented ggs? Seeing Dreams and Got the beat charting so high is a joke people only like aespa because BP hiatus and they're trendy..

    Some of you don’t understand the Korean public, once you have a hit song, most of your songs afterwards will do well until a certain time then they leave you. Korea is all about who or what is trendy . Anyone gets popular and the whole Korea will jump into the train and praise and worship the person . Take a look at twice, the moment cheer up came out, all their songs were consecutive hits until Blackpink hit incredible international fame And Jennie becoming Korea’s favourite 3rd gen idol . Aespa will continue like this until another gg experience a phenomenal success before the hype will go down . I don’t know why people are acting like Aespa is special. Check all the groups that had national hits song , all their songs afterwards were charting solidly until a certain time of their career . Their songs are also very weird , so I don’t really see the hype lasting for more than 3 years

    they understand how kpop works, with addictive hook who stay stuck in your mind and choregraphy easy to follow and can be reproduce by anybody and go viral


    most of the GG nowadays didn't understand this

    the biggest hits and biggest groups in korea are always the groups or songs to who koreans can "relate" by dancing to it or singing them by having the hook stuck in their mind


    and it's easy to see that it's true, because at the moment twice stop doing this type of things and start to go for less addictive hook and big choregraphy to try to show how well they dance, the public completely let them down

    their last really successfull comeback was Fancy, and fancy had an easy hook and a easy hand movement to reproduce


    most GG nowadays don't seem to understand this, they completely forgot what's the point of having a hook and prefer to showcase how strong they are in dancing in comparison of having fun dance that anybody can have fun to do

    This is true?? Idk why people act like Aespa continuing to be successful after having their first hit is some wildly fascinating phenomenon. Literally every comeback following CU was a smash for Twice until they changed their concept. 2NE1, BP, SNSD all followed up major hits with...more hits! If you are a big 3 gg, once the GP likes you, they will continue to like you until you lose the hype due to time or a concept change. The only time I've seen this not happen was with Itzy, which is probably frankly because DD was not that big to begin with compared to NL or CU and the GP just doesn't vibe with the members or their songs. Actually now that I think about it it's probably what happened to ITZY that's making people think it's unusual for popular ggs to continue to have hits when in reality this has always been very common and Aespa is far from unique in their success (for 4th gen they are I guess)

    they will continue to do so until any future gg able to beat their hype. So cope with it
