How much kpop idols earn?

    Approved the thread.
  • Depends on the how big they are(how much money they make through physicals and streams) the company splitting offer, and how many members there are.

Some companies take more and some companies take less. I have heard YG takes less/idols under YG gets paid more and SM takes more so idols under SM get paid less.

    I found this chart too

How much money does a K-pop idol in the Big 3 earn? - Quora

  • Depends a lot on the company, they are the ones that choose how they will share the money with their idols. This is the only "info" online, take with a grain of salt

So apparently if you want money go to Starship, if you want to be explored go to Pledis and SM

  • Now we know why Big hit is good.

And why SM doesn’t push overseas promo.

  • it must suck to be part of SM being in a group consisting 10+ members

  • Why is everyone talking like those year old charts are gospel

  • Lol why do people still believe those BS profit distribution charts.

I mean they are just completely made up out of thin air by some random people.

The fact is SM is the only company whose full profit distribution info has ever been released to public and that was back in 2009. The funny thing is that those chart never seem to even get SM info right even though it is available.

THESE charts are probably fake. Payment varies from idols to idols. Those who are more involved in production earn more and I don't think big groups like bts are paid same as smaller groups in their agency.

  • it's 2022 and people still use those charts as reference omg how dense can u all be?? :pepe-sad:
