Am I the only one who gets triggered by aespa high notes?

    I like their new songs. IMO it is better than the SES version of it, but that high note in the end is unnecessary IMO.

    that's the weirdest things i heard talking about music '-'

    they have amazing vocals and can hit high notes so ofcos they gonna showcase it.people wouldnt be complaining if it's their faves but unfortunately their faves prob don't have the same ability.

    what's triggering is people who screech and their voice cracks when they're trying to reach high notes.

    Kpop fan's weird obsession with high notes is far more annoying than any unnecessary high note could ever be.

    I don't like it when people use "triggered" as a synonym for "offended".

    True... I think few consider what live singing while dancing vigorously really sounds like once the idols are inevitably out of breath. That's why I always say that, depending on the dance, I definitely prefer idols to just focus on the performance/the show. There are slow songs where live vocals work a lot better and can be shown off much better.

    I'm used to it now and I know when to turn their songs down a little. I have very sensitive ears and from high notes I have a headache and tears in my eyes. but I'm not a masochist..I guess.

    Not triggered but I don't like winter's high notes. I think the issue is they're placed in weird places and too frequently at that. Same with Ning Ning but her notes are not as distinctive as winter's.

    If they don't whip out high notes, people will say they can't sing.


    Worst SM vocals. Worst 4th gen vocals. Countless "Does Itzy have better vocals" threads....


    Whip out high notes and it's why do they have to flex so hard its so horrible.


    No winning with Aespa I guess.

    Same way Itzy will force two dance breaks into a live performance to emphasize that they are dancers, Aespa will shoehorn in high or extended notes wherever to underline that they can sing.


    It will be cool when both groups can just chill and let the whole package speak for itself, but they will be in the jostling for position stage for a while yet.
