K-pop has basically turned into a dance exhibition.

KPOP is all that: dancing, singing, and rapping. The three main elements in KPOP but not every group does all of them and they can go pretty fine
Take Day6 for example :)

Why do I feel like I've seen this topic discussed before...?I actually agree, difficult choreographies shouldn't be at the expense of live singing as it, in my opinion, contributes a ton to stage presence – if the performance isn't pulling me in what's the point in watching it? I especially dislike LAR – everyone can tell (I hope so) the idols are lipsyncing, all it does is, from the ones I've seen, is make performances even more underwhelming.

I agree. I know they’ve got some talented dancers, but I’m a fan for the music and vocal/songwriting ability not fancy footwork.
