i don’t understand why Jisoo would accept this role

bc the director is well renowned. Imagine such a figure begging you to be the main lead of their show as your debut. I doubt she even bothered to get into the details about the script and accepted the offer in a heartbeat.

People are saying she shouldn't have even accepted such a drama surrounding sensitive historical event in the first place, but they're forgetting most films don't get such awful backlash.

She got cocky. Saw the big names of the other actors, writer, producer,.. and decided she wanted that roll, no matter what it was about.

What humble rookie actor would accept the roll of protagonist when the rest of the cast is that well established?

One thing's for sure - stans have got to stop hyping up the most basic things as accomplishments. "Jisoo picked this role ALL BY HERSELF. Omg our dynamic girlboss yass!" Now they've had to switch fast to insisting the director chased her and she didn't know anything.

It's funny because she's the oldest a grown ass woman born and raised in Korea this scandal should humble her ass.
