[SOLOIST] Woosung's new album 'GENRE' is out! (featuring BM of KARD, Ashley Choi and Reddy)

  • One of the most enchanching and also one of my fave voices in Kpop!

It's been a while since I've been waiting for this album and it's finally here!

    About GENRE:

Featuring KARD's BM, Ladies' Code's Ashley and rapper Reddy, GENRE is WOOSUNG's first full-length solo effort and consists of 7 tracks. Encapsulating the wide range of sounds, emotions and styles that WOOSUNG captures in his debut album and reflective of its name, GENRE is collection of experimental artistry five years in the making.

He has released 2 music videos for his songs this year already (both Lazy and Dimples are songs I've been listening A LOT!):

Now along with the album, he also released "Brainwave Visualizers" videos. From his YT videos descriptions:

    Quote

    About Brainwave Visualizers:

Woosung worked together with creative directors Annie Stoll, Dyan Jong and EEG artist Bora Aydıntuğ to create visualizers which are artistic interpretations of Woosung’s EEG brainwaves. His brainwaves were captured while he listened to each of his own songs on GENRE.

The abstract waves move across the canvases like paint strokes and sound waves. When Woosung wrote the music, he saw each song with its own vivid color palette. Creative directors Jong and Stoll see Woosung’s voice as his paintbrush, and felt this technology could visually connect Woosung’s wide-range of musical expression and multifaceted artistry. In connecting Woosung’s voice, art and story, they hope to bring his fans closer to the world of GENRE that lives in his mind.

An example for his song 'HANGOVER':
