Now don't get me wrong I understand this is award show for those who charted well but in same time they've limited number of performing artists too much

Kakao has shares/owns so many companies, so they should've just book: APink, Weeekly, WJSN, IVE
just be smart about it and those groups could easily be an 'opening' acts before award ceremony, this way they will have richer line-up, but also promote their own groups.
