Why do you think there are less talented idols in 4th gen?

    they're way too young, and i guess with kpop being so popular, kpop companies probably scout for visuals rather than skills, which is why so many of them get into live singing controversies

    KPop has trained fans across all fandoms well. They can now produce subpar songs and everyone will eat it in the name of 'subjectivity.' I pity all these KPop stars who trained for years only to be given such materials to work with.

    I don't think there are less. I think because there are so many talented individuals that none stands out. Nowadays, you cannot just be a pretty face and pass. Idols nowadays are crazy, they can dance, sing and does idol raps. You can't just get by with a "im a maknae! Im the cutie! Im the ice queen of the group!". I mean we still see those, but not as much as before.


    The oldest 4th gen idols are probably only in their 3rd if not 4th year. What you should do is list the 'talented' idols that you have in the previous gen or the gen before, but only within their 4th years. And then you can compare and contrast to say which generation has more talent. I think that's fair.


    Another point to consider is that some idols probably have many ideas if not songs written out already, but because its not fit for their group image, the company does not allow it to surface. But this might be a small percentage. Still, a comparison would be nice to see.
