People think fanwars are the reason they dont interact meanwhile i believe they dont interact because they dont want these fanwars to vanish..would u hate an idol who's your bias' friend? Most people wont.
I don't think they explicitly want fanwars because those can lead to defamation, but certainly don't want fans to begin liking other groups because they're friends with their faves.
Also if an idol can't associate themselves with another too publicly, if the other one gets in a scandal, they won't be that affected.
