What’s a change in Kpop you’d like to see

I’d like to see the age of debut to be higher and for artistry to be more available to those who want to participate.

I also really want to see child labor laws to specifically call out the entertainment industry around the world but… Korea needs to be acting a little more industrialized.

I’d like for an idol of high stature (think big 3 and HYBE or like cube or some shit) to be openly gay but it to not be their concept and for everyone to treat them exactly the same.

I’d like for the idea behind kpop to be more accessible/marketable around the world so that it’s not so pigeon-holed into just aegyo/slut/girl crush for girls and like only pop/dance for boys. I think everyone should be able to branch out and it not be a flop because it isn’t a tik tok song.

I would like to see the normalization of singing live and having actual talent. A lot of companies just make idols get plastic surgery and veneers then send then out with little to no vocal training. All they do is dance and look a mess. Girls planet 999 is a prime example of trainees having zero talent yet debuting because some idiot who hasn't left his mother's basement in years voted for them. Encore stages used to be fun now everyone looks scared or can't find the right note.

I'd like to see more singles from the same album.

There are b-sides that honestly are so great they deserve to be promoted as a full out single later down the road. And not the "promote at the same time" or "promote 2 weeks later".

I'm talking about Ariana, Taylor, Drake style where you can have hit after hit from the same album be promoted within a 6-12 month span.

Better working conditions for the idols: i.e. healthy diets, being allowed time to take breaks when needed, injuries being taken more seriously, more fair royalty payments, severe repercussions for staff and management for abusing idols and trainees, Less Body Shaming, proper time for therapy if needed, and most importantly less sexism in the industry.....

I mean, I know this will be hard to overcome because of how appearance and image focused the kpop industry is, but I do want idols to not feel pressured to look a certain way. To not harm themselves with terrible dieting and face constant scrutiny for not fitting the perfect standard. It would also be wonderful if idols could live their personal lives as they please. Being allowed to date and all that.

Oh and better cultural awareness and sensitivity would be great too.

1) Less toxic attitudes from companies toward idols appearance or how they present themselves.

2) Normalising idols calling out their fans who abuse and bully people online like all the time. We know you see it.

there are many who do try to speak up.... Jennie even did at one point and her fans proceeded to send her hate for it I do wish more would acknowledge it for sure though
