i want to just not say anything to not give OP the attention they so clearly are looking for, but the opportunity for a roast is too hard to pass up. OP must have a lot of time on their hands to come here just to post this so i’ll break it down. listen, okay- i used to hate on kpop. i seriously used to before i opened up my conceited, closed-minded brain and actually listened to it. i used to say the whole “ohhh kpop music is all the same” - but sorry to break it to you, the only difference between kpop and any other music is the language. it’s the exact same music that we have bro. it’s just in korean. music has literally no barriers. language, country- none of that matters. nothing. this OP is clearly living a pretty dark life and i feel sorry for them. the minute you realize that NOTHING MATTERS in this world and you can like WHATEVER the fukk you want with no apologies, you’ll open up an entire WORLD of music and possibilities. honestly, i really do feel sorry for this OP. they’ve missed out on a ton of good music because they can’t listen to something that is in another language 😭

I do listen to kpop lol, it's just nowadays 99% of kpop is litteral trash with litteral noise and lyrics that make no sense. Some groups can be good but you need to dig harder. Kpop is just became a success stans bandwagon look at all the threads barely anyone talking about music and it's just fighting over charts and bragging. It's became pathetic at this point. it's really cringe as fuck. Stop supporting shit artists mother fuckers just to brag

You could make this point without being aggressive about it. I really think that's just stan culture, though. If you listened to earlier K-pop back in the day, it was still this way. Maybe you just weren't on forums enough to know back then?

Kpop is the best pop.

It's wholesome, full of different concepts and random shit.

Best of all, you can just ignore cringey lyrics and just listen to the music and singing.

On the other hand, western pop is full of tryhards and "artists" trying to "push boundaries".

Don't delude yourself that there isn't loads of cringe worthy concepts and lyrics in western pop.

Actually I've been a kpop fan for a really long time and let me tell you something. In kpop music is never the first priority ; looks and personality are always put first that's why they get comfortable with releasing trash because because they know fans will stream it no matter what.
