Fkn loved it. The accuracy of school violence, homophobia, difficult families, the ambiguous ending, the nuances of queer relationships. I hope it got a lot of awards.
The acting, the script, the actors, the cinematography is stellar. 110% would reccomend but pls do read all the trigger warnings cuz it can get graphic especially the school violence.
I'd say watch a censored version and avoid that one sexually violent scene aswell. It's really very difficult to watch even if it is for a few seconds. I truly wish the sentence was harsher on the rapist and his friends rather than the one who beat them up. What a shitty world it's sadder that it reflects reality. Male sexual violence is hardly ever taken into consideration in most societies let alone conservative ones. Either way 11/10 points for being realistic.
