beauty standards only stand for validation

I kinda get it. But honestly beauty standards are boring af, makes everyone look the fucking same. If everyone embraced their own uniqueness it would be so lit
-
everyone has their own visual preference but having generalized standards of whats attractive for a large community of people is done mostly so that people can judge their own attractiveness relative to that standard, or in other words, seeking validation

I mean, who created it was the media so we can be always be buying things to achieve an "ideal", and this ideal always, ALWAYS change with time. We are meant to always be disatisfied with our image so we can keep buying. That's what every big industry wants. Sure, beauty is nice to look at but at the end of the day it's still an illusion. We as individuals are the ones who have a choice to accept it or not. You can see that most of the time, the ones bashing someone's appearance almost always are the exactly ones who are insecure about their own. It's a stupid cycle that we have to question in order to break free from it.
