This thread is especially to people who listen to more than one artist. This forum is lacking music discussions, everything is about numbers or fighting. What genres do you like the most in K-pop and Korean music in general? I could make a poll, but K-pop borrows from so many genres I'm sure I would leave one out. Are these the same genres you enjoy outside of Korean music? Do you prefer the Korean or the non-Korean approach? Why? Personally, what I enjoy the most are ballads, orchestral, R&B, retro, jazz, pop-rock, rock and indie (not a genre, but I mean slow&chill songs in general). I basically listened only to rock before K-pop. I prefer the Korean approach to all of them, except rock. I like them more because the instrumentals are better produced and they give a modern feel to older genres.
