Do A.R.M.Y.s have a lot of political power?

  • Do A.R.M.Y.s have a lot of political power? 10

    1. Yes - HUGE, like the size of UNICEF (1) 10%
    2. Yes - About the level of a mid tier non-profit agency (2) 20%
    3. Yes - but only on Twitter (1) 10%
    4. None (6) 60%

I heard there was an international incident that occurred over a hanbok because of 1 tweet. How much political power do A.R.M.Y.s have?

  • Anyways ARMYs do have some kind of power. But not in the sense of politics, but rather activism. And social media power is pretty important in this gen z era. Armys have accumulated power to the extent that if they wanted they could drown out any negativity on Twitter (i use that platform the most so i can only talk about it)

But luckily armys are an organized fandom who use their platform for more good than harm. I can say armys do have potential political power, but they do not know or do not care to wield it

These are just some random jokes locals were making about armys

  • Not political power. But ARMY is massive we can get ourselves heard when we organize it. Like the racism leveled against BTS by that radio DJ in Germany, for example. A smaller fandom would not have garnered enough media attention to get a reaction. ARMYs fandom size, organization and media savy was able to, at least, get the station to apologize and put the DJ on leave. Another example is the BLM movement. When ARMY heard that BTS donated $1 million, we were able to match their donation of another million within 24 hours.

By now, a lot of companys, be it here in the West, or anywhere else, know that if they mess with BTS, they are bound to get a reaction from ARMYs. That is power, and yeah, ARMYs can wield it.

Good to hear A.R.M.Y.s contributed to house ownership
