Where do 3rd gen album sales come from?

    normally Korea means the Gaon sales.

    E.g. for MOTS:7 it has KOR: 4,440,818 which are its exact gaon sales.

    Gaon sales are shipments so global physical sales.

    MOTS:7 also has its respective sales from other countries that we know but some of those numbers are included in the KOR number while some of those aren't.


    E.g.

    - CHN is listed with 474k, those are all digtial album downloads and ARE NOT counted in the Gaon (KOR) sales.

    - JPN is listed with 469k which is physical sales on oricon so those ARE counted in the Gaon (KOR) sales,

    - Than we have some of the others like US with 674k which are both physical sales and digtial album downloads so SOME of the 674k is included in the GAON (KOR) sales cause they're physicals while SOME AREN'T cause they're digtial album downloads.


    BTS also has the WW one which is confirmed pure sales by the IFPI (pure sales don't include streaming, its purely digital album downloads + physicals)
