I mean, honestly there actually is a visual standard for fruits to be sold in grocery stores. The ugly ones are either thrown away or used in other products like juice, dried fruit, etc.

There's been this whole movement somewhat recently where stores will sell their "imperfect" produce at a reduced cost to help eliminate unnecessary food waste.
