That's because their vocals are mid at best. And saying "but dancing and singing is hard af" when it's a 2 minute long song, shared by 6 members is simply a lame excuse.

Honestly though, if some kpop stars just stood on a big american stage and sang their hearts out, no dance no frills or fancies, no eccentric camera work, a huge part of kpop stigma will start to crumble. That's a big part of it.

They all should do it.

You can drag katseye for anything but not performance skills, they've two powerhouse vocalists that nobody in kpop can compete with and all other members are decent vocalists as well. And one thing I noticed about hybe ggs is , they're always dragged and harassed way more than any other kpop group. I know multiple top kpop ggs who gave terrible performances on big western stages but I barely saw anyone posting about those ggs, because kpop stans only nitpick hybe ggs.
