IVE’s LEESEO is stepping down from her role as a host on SBS Inkigayo.
Since joining the music show in April 2024, the singer has brightened Sunday afternoons with upbeat, energetic hosting―and quickly became one of the faces of the program thanks to her steady growth and on-air poise.
Citing a packed schedule, LEESEO will say goodbye at the end of the year. She’ll deliver her final send-off on this week’s broadcast, wrapping a 1-year, 7-month run.
“We’re all sad to part ways with LEESEO, whom Inkigayo loves dearly,” said producer Choi Jang-won. “Her bright energy powered our live shows and lifted the crew. We’re truly grateful for the love and dedication she’s shown the program and staff.”
“It was an honor to share the sparkling final stretch of her teens on Inkigayo,” Choi added. “We’re rooting for an even brighter future and hope our paths cross again on another great project.”
Ahead of her final episode, LEESEO said, “For 1 year and 7 months, it was an honor to spend every Sunday with DIVE (the group’s official fan club) and Inkigayo viewers. Sundays felt like a gift. I’m sure I stumbled at first, but thanks to your constant support and love, I can end this chapter happily.”
“To DIVE, who always cheered on ‘MC LEESEO,’ I love you,” she continued. “Thank you to the production team, our agency staff, and my fellow hosts. While ‘MC LEESEO’ is saying a brief goodbye, I’ll be back as IVE’s LEESEO with bigger stages and new activities―so please keep cheering me on.”
LEESEO’s final sign-off airs Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3:20 p.m. KST on SBS Inkigayo.
