When the Taliban reconquered Afghanistan in 2021, there were a few people who still resisted its rule.
They went to a valley called Panjishir, which was easier to defend. A Vice President of the former regime joined the Panjishir forces, giving it some kind of legitimacy.
However, since all of Afghanistan was under Taliban hands and USA having more than enough of it, few people offered real aid to this force.
As a result the Panjishiris, after resisting for a few weeks, had to flee to Tajikstan and with bigger events around the world, such as Ukraine, few people know or care where they are.

As the whole of world is conquered by KPop Demon Hunters which is making the traditional way of KPop completely irrelevant, the former Senior Singer of KPop, despite of not being part of KPop, IU, lost all of her prestige and influence and is now being treated as an excess baggage, an embarrassment for a bygone era which the neo-KPop would rather forget.
E.Jae, the most popular soloist in the world now, and an American, would probably hold a huge enmity over IU, since the Koreans preferred the latter's style and did not accept E.Jae's more American way of singing. As everyone is trembling before KPop Demon Hunters, EJae would be dismayed to see that IU, who is 2 years younger, is still defying Huntr/x's domination, not showing any opinion about its world conquest.
That aside, although all of IU's followers have rejected her and went to cover Golden, there are still some people who continue to pay filial duty, such as Liz of IVE.
Liz and an indie singer named Choi Yu-ree sing The Square's Dream, originally from a band called Blue Sky and covered by the Former Senior Singer of Pop in May.
Choi Yu-ree has been an indie singer for some time and in 2020 the then-Senior Singer had recommended Choi Yuree's album. It is not known whether Yu-ree is still following the now former Senior Singer of KPop. She was too obscure to be noticed by others in the then Senior Singer's concerts. It
Apparently Liz and Choi Yu-ree became friends, and they showed up in the Lee Mujin show with Wendy of Red Velvet and Maki of &Team. Why a German member of a Japanese act shows up in such shows beats me but this is not a time to discuss it.
Only Liz and Choi Yu-ree sang A Square's Dream. Wendy refused to pay Filial Duty to the now ex Senior Singer, and I don't think Make knew who was the Senior Singer of Korean Pop who reigned in there without contributing anything to it for 15 long years.
It might be a bit comforting for the ex-Senior Singer who has shown no regrets about not contributing to KPop for all these years, that not everyone has turned their back on her and there are still some who respect her . However, the big picture is against them, and it will be interesting to see for how long the former Senior Singer will retain her influence over other acts since now everyone will want to become like Huntr/x and Saja Boys.
