I don’t think the idea of AI characters was a bad one. The implementation of the idea wasn’t rolled out on an impressive level and the costs to render the characters probably was a big deterrent.

If it was done well, it could have been Aespa with a Netflix movie and a soundtrack if they had the right songs with mass appeal.
