Takanori Iwata and Alan Shirahama to leave EXILE

To all the fans who have always supported me,

I would like to inform you that as of today, I am ending my activities as an EXILE performer, which I have continued since joining in 2014.

Going forward, I have chosen to devote myself solely to the activities of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS.

As a result, I will not be participating in EXILE’s upcoming activities, including the dome tour scheduled for this winter.

During the approximately 11 years I spent as an EXILE performer, I was blessed with countless experiences and encounters, and I was able to learn and grow so much.

To everyone who walked with me through those irreplaceable times, and to the members who supported and guided me through it all—I am deeply grateful.

From now on, as an artist under LDH, I will continue to challenge myself with sincerity in expressing myself as a member of Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, as well as in my roles as an actor and solo artist.

To all those who have supported Iwata Takanori during his time as an EXILE performer over these approximately 11 years—thank you so much.

I would be happy if you continue to watch over me warmly.

I think it’s important to clarify that Takanori isn’t “leaving” in the dramatic way this post makes it sound. He’s just stepping back from EXILE activities to focus on Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, plus all his solo and acting work. He’s still with LDH and continuing his career, he’s not retiring or vanishing.

As for Alan, there has now been an official announcement. LDH confirmed that he’ll be pausing his activities with EXILE to focus on GENERATIONS, PKCZ®, and his individual projects. He won’t be participating in EXILE’s upcoming dome tour either. It’s not a withdrawal or anything permanent, just a shift in focus, similar to what Takanori’s doing. So again, no need to turn this into something more dramatic than it actually is.
