The funny thing about the debate about live vocals in Kpop is that a lot of times, groups sing live both more often and less often than people think. The paradox stems from the fact that almost all "official" footage or audio of any given performance is retouched with post-processing, so it's hard to trust, and most people on initial listen will assume it's not. The best way to tell is from unofficial fancams, and unless you're a fan, you're very unlikely to go looking for them. But a fan is also more likely to wanna believe their faves are singing live.

It's also almost impossible to tell 100%, not to mention it's also very common that some parts are live and some parts aren't. Pre-recorded live is also very common, which sounds live but still touched up slightly.

Imo it’s live mainly because once they finish performing Butterflies and they’re walking to next stage to perform The Chase they start talking still out of breath! Also them talking sounds normal too not auto tuned so might be editing after if it is autotune

Imo bigger groups would always sound better though as members have less lines naturally so them sounding stable isn’t as surprising
