The pilots responsible are lucky that nobody died and that only a very small number of people were injured.

But these pilots are fucked! They will likely be under the jail for this screw up

They were supposed to enter the target data and location into the computer on the ground not while flying, for the same reason they tell you not to use your car infotainment screen while driving, you are distracted. They are also required!!!!! To verify the target data before dropping a bomb, they didn't do that step that's how this happened. If they had checked again like they were supposed to, they would have realized they were over the city and corrected their destination to the training grounds. This is why we have a saying " trust but verify"
