Quick question: Who actually makes the Wikipedia pages for idols/groups?

  • Do fans make them, or is it the company? Because I’ve noticed that some groups have Wikipedia pages for all their members, while others don’t. Like, in 4th-gen girl groups, Gidle, Aespa, and Newjeans all have individual pages for every member. But for groups like Lsf, Ive, Kepler, and Stayc, only some members have one.

  • It used to be random editors. Literally anyone. Now it's only people with top secret Wiki clearance, who've made a bajillion edits to other articles, who are the only ones capable of creating articles or editing anything anymore. Good for the site's encyclopedic accuracy, but defeats its original purpose entirely.

Well. You need to contribute more to access certain features in wikipedia. I started out by correcting spellings, citation, sources, revising sentences and paragraphs and checking the format.

This may be related to ho‍w "notable" each individual member is, i.e. have they do‍ne anything to warrant an individual Wikipedia page?
