If you tought Kpop were always innoncent and cute, YOU'RE WRONG! This Queen said: "FCK YOU" 11 years ago!

  • I still remember the amount of people hating this song and MV back in the days, because they didn't understand the message, and yes, for Korean standards it didn't just scratch the surface, GAIN kicked the whole Kpop door in with a bulldozer. 😅

  • Oh, I remember that one coming out. And it was the first time that I came across a song with that title.

But well... back then I thought of Brown Eyed Girls as a "mature" group.

And I remember when I saw the music video for Bloom for the first time and there was a part that was way too much for me to handle. (but back then I was a teenager and perhaps too young watch it.

Yes, BEG was a mature group just like Sistar, MAMAMOO, Gidle, KIOF etc, and they did talk about topics that no other groups dare to mention before them. They did pole dancing, this one, and yes, that Bloom video as well.

Kpop wasn't ready for them, but now as adults, they understand what they tried to do. To be fair, even if a group want to do something like this nowadays, the same hate train would happen. The groups I mentioned above did similar things, especially MMM, but BEG was another level, especially GAIN with her R-Rated MV's.

I don't think I've seen any kissing scene in a Kpop MV in the past couple of years, especially from a mainstream group, let alone delving into topics like sex, rape, abuse and so on.
