Singer IU's agency EDAM Entertainment (EDAM Entertainment) is suspected of not communicating with IU during the process of changing her address.
On the 21st, the agency announced on IU's official fan cafe, "Due to the company's relocation, our address has changed, so we are re-informing you on how to apply for support." They added, "You cannot receive mail at your old address, so please do not make a mistake."
Then, the agency re-informed her of the changed address. However, fans are raising issues with the process of making this announcement. Before the announcement, when fan letters sent to her old address kept getting returned, fans appeared on the fan cafe and asked IU directly if her agency had moved, to which IU replied, "Did you do it without telling me? As far as I know, you didn't."
Judging from this, it seems that the company had already moved her address, but IU was unaware of it and only found out later from her fans. Then, when the notice of address change was posted, fans expressed their bewilderment, saying, "Is the artist a director of a company that doesn't know?"
Regarding this, Herald POP tried to contact Idam Entertainment, but could not reach them.
Even with Idam's current artists, IU and Woods, the accumulated anger of fans toward the agency's 'lack of communication' has exploded. Previously, Idam Entertainment caused controversy by classifying a fan who purchased IU's concert tickets with the help of a friend as an unfair transaction purchaser and demanding excessive documentation. The agency later stated that they would reform the system further, but fans eventually complained that the artist had to bear all the blame due to practical issues.
