  • for all the ppl with low confidence in their looks

it's a good song with a good message overall

is it a bit shallow though? or is it just me being cynical and jealous that i'm not as good looking as LUCY members? or did i maybe misinterpret the type of appearance they're talking about?

    Fun song!

I get what you mean but I think low confidence and low self-esteem can affect anyone. You'd think someone has nothing to worry about because they are conventionally attractive, but a sick mind will find things to nitpick and tie it to the person's self-worth.

You're never perfect and once you're in a spiral, the brain will make a mountain out of a mole hill aka a small imperfection.

Where I disagree with the MV though is that getting in a relationship fixes things. It can give a confidence boost, sure. But if you're really sick, the brain will think people complimenting you, are lying to you, that a partner is lowering their standards to be with you etc.

It's a theme in pop culture where relationships magically fix a person. They don't. Depending on your issues, nothing changes and the relationship will be destroyed sooner rather than later.

So, yeah, I do think the storyline of the MV is a bit shallow.

Interesting topic though and the song is a bop.

  • thanks for your insight you bring up great points

being to able to stay happy alone is a very important value imo

of course having people around is still good but your self worth shouldn't depend on others

a healthy mind is so important and it's sad that part of the reason why people's mental health gets affected is because of ourselves
