Still chugging along in the US.

  • Apparently last 4 years for the highest Kpop GG Pure Sales in America too which is surprising considering BP released albums between 2021 - 2024 and they should be a bigger seller there.

I use BP as an example because they arguably are the global measure (barring Japan) for GGs especially in the West.

Having said that, JYPark is known for willingly taking a financial loss in America to promote himself Kpop so maybe "The Orchard" is getting a better deal with TWICE's Album Distributions, perhaps wanting to push for more sales.

While JYPark doesn't control that aspect of JYPE anymore, the company does have his "guide" on how to run JYPE so the management will be brainwashed influenced.

The financial success that TWICE is after their 7 year contract renewal is something to be admired for a Kpop GG and most BGs.

TWICE is arguably the last of the genuine Kpop GG's which is financially affluent that hasn't been corrupted influenced by Western based Artists with their Image.

  • It's well known that BP's last album flopped in America. That's what they get for charging $50 a pop, or whatever ridiculous number it was.

While the price is an issue, TWICE's average Concert Tickets in their recent American Leg of their Tour was $USD160 while BP's was $USD248 so American fans were willing to part with the money.

But you have a good point there.

They got people to pay exorbitant prices to see them live, and good for them if the scheme actually works, but there's a big difference between overpaying to see someone live and overpaying to listen to music you can just as easily pirate whenever. The fact that they were overcharging for what basically amounted to a glorified mini-album added insult to injury.

Nahhhhhh..... paying $USD50 for a CD with extras isn't that bad especially from a Legend Artist.

    They're first editions too.
