Tl, dr, the step-grandmother of the King Jungjo (reign 1776-1800) , wanting to regain her power, tries to kill the King but fails.
However the King cannot kill the step-grandmother because the latter is still his grandmother although she has nothing to do with him biologically.
I mentioned that she spent 24 years in bitterness but finally took power when the King died.

KPop's Senior Singer,
who contributed nothing to the advancement of KPop but was able to have a world tour (attended by no non-Asian celebrities - some Japanese celebs did attend her concert in Japan and the Taiwanese actor Kai Ko Chentung did attend her concert elsewhere so some Asian celebs did attend),
someone who owed her longevity precisely because of her complete lack of contribution to Kpop since while everyone was going to Japan, China and the farthest reaches of the world she just stayed in Korea and continued to receive admiration from there,
invited Hyukoh and the Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster to her show.
Hyukoh has been working with the Taiwanese band for some time, since he is fluent in Chinese and his style of music doesn't have a place in Korea anymore,
but the success of Gidle's fate, a band style song, and QWER appears to have made Lee Jieun think that the age of bands has returned.
Lee Jieun is now getting too old to sing songs which requires her to run around, and while the recent gallup polls showed she was still top among the 10s age cohort, she does know that she is not getting any younger and will have to do something to keep her relevant and make the newer generations continue to revere her.
Jeon Soyeon is basically a hip hop artist - the band idea was from Song Yuqi, who will have her own band when she returns to China.
However, Qwer is still standing strong, and Day6 is also not doing badly.
It seems while there are really no strong idol songs other than Plot Twist, Magnetic and Supernova this year (Fate is not really kPop), a renaissance of band music appears to have returned to Korea and Lee Jieun seems to be fueling it.
I don't know whether BTS or other major KPop acts can turn into band when they get too old to dance, but since bands do not requiere heavy dancing routines, older acts will pursue such options if they can and as usual Lee Jieun, who has never lost any opportunity to undermine KPop, appears to be turning things on that way.
She spent 7 years to wait for the BTS fervor to die, and it seems she appears to be getting her way again!
