In my country, some people (especially the "language snobs") complain whenever they hear some people in the younger generation, especially children, speaking English to one another or using English words in sentences.
The reason why some young people use English is of course because of English-speaking media.
It seems like they are afraid of that language dying out, even though that language has like 69.000 native speakers (or a least back in 2015).
I would understand the concern if it was like only 100 people or less speaking that language.
Even though some people, also in the older generation, often use Danish words. And people don't seem to complain about that.
I have heard though that someone had a teacher, who seemed to be against using Danish words.
Ironically, there are some kinda old words in my native language that have descended from English, e.g. "trolari" (trawler) and "sleggja" (sledgehammer).
But language snobs won't complain, if you are talking about trawlers and sledgehammers.
Because of those language snobs, I have often tried to speak "purely", whenever I speak or write in my native language. (Those snobs aren't the only reasons, why I'm like this though.)
And I have felt like it is more acceptable of me to use Danish words than English words.
There have been times when I have felt like I maybe sound a bit too "unintelligent" or something, whenever I have used an English word or sentence. (especially if I don't know my native language's word for it.)
And sometimes English-speaking media (and this forum too) affects the way I speak.
And there are times when I try to consume more media in my native language (especially reading books written in that language
I admit though that there are times when I have watched Danish media and gotten a bit annoyed when hearing Danes using English words instead of Danish.
So I'm maybe a bit of a "language snob" myself.
