What would have happened to BTS if Min Heejin's coup were successful? Nothing good

  • If Min Heejin spent more time watching Korean historical dramas than keeping the latest trends, she might have been more successful.

Lee Jieun watched (and sometimes acted in) Korean historical dramas, so she had a firm understanding of how things worked in Korea.

A historical incident which every Korean knows is the 1456 attempt to restore the deposed King Danjong by six ministers, called the "Six dead minister incident".

Long story short, the boy King Danjong was deposed by his uncle Prince Sooyang, who has been the subject of endless historical dramas in Korea but most famously on here

Lee Jungjae as the Prince, entering the scene.

Sooyang, now called King Sejo, had imprisoned Danjong but did not decide what to do with him, and six younger scholars , to regain the confucian ideals since they saw Sooyang taking the throne violated the confucian principles, plus some others conspired to remove Sejo and his minions.

However, there was an opportunity but one of the people who were to be killed was not there, and the scholars, being perfectionists, called off the plan.

One of the conspirators saw that if the plan was to be dragged , they would be exposed and killed, and told someone in Sejo's side the whole plan, and not surprisingly, the scholars and their friends and relatives were all caught, tortured and executed in cold blood. Sejo, finally deciding what to do with his deposed nephew, ordered the latter killed the next year.

Min Heejin dragged the plan too long, wasting too much time to convince the parents, rest one of t hem might act like Keena's father, who was in the plan altogether but betrayed the rest like the turncoat conspirator above.

If she had unleashed her weapons immediately, before Hybe found what was going on, I think she would have won.

If she liked Korean historical dramas like Lee Jieun, Min Heejin would have known that any delays would mean fatal.

If the conspirators had won, virtually all the who's who in the royal court would have been killed, like what Prince Sooyang just did 3 years ago from that point of time.

Min Heejin clearly said "Before BTS returns, Hybe is at the weakest, so (she) will finish off Hybe and Bang Sihyuk."

Her ultimate goal seems to have been destroy Hybe, kick Bang Sihyuk out of the company, she takes over Hybe for all practical purposes and marginalize everyone she does not like, incl Le Sserafim , Illit and most importantly BTS.

If Min Heejin did not hesistate and followed through her plans without delay, we would have seen the end of Hybe, the end of Bang Sihyuk and the end of BTS, whose contract would have been terminated by Min Heejin who might have kept Taehyung.

How BTS would have progressed from there would be another story, but she lost a huge opportunity by hesistating at the critical moment.
