People making fun of Stray Kids' Han for sounding like he said "autistic" instead of "artistic"

  • Okay, this is kinda old news (4 weeks old), but I randomly found out about this recently.

Well... the fact that the automatic closed captions were saying "autistic" too, doesn't help.

I could have made a joke that was like: "The psychologist diagnosing me when I was a teen:", but nah.

I did notice some people making similar jokes with that Tiktok sound that someone has created, that has Han's "you're artistic" line being repeated. Or those videos were more like "My psychologist after I *show an autistic trait*"

Well... I also came across some TikToks, that were ableist. (or at least anti-autism)

Or at least, some were using "autistic" as an insult. (or it is like "ha ha, bestie, you're so autistic")

I'm getting flashbacks from when I was younger and some of my classmates were acting foolish and then saying "we have autism", and I didn't find it funny at all.

I'm not trying to say that STAYs are all ableist because I am sure that also non-STAYs were acting like this. (I would call out an ATINY too, if I saw them using "autistic" in a negative light.)

and heck, yesterday I found out about an autistic influencer being bullied online for showing a tiktok of herself happily stimming...

Well... I have heard people talking about how TikTok is a bad place. (but discrimination against autistic people is almost everywhere)

I don't know what people have said on Twitter though because I don't have an account.

and... well... I don't know how Han would feel if he got told "ha ha, it sounded like you were saying 'autistic'"

He would probably not like it...
