The tracking of this specific data point began in August 2021, so hopefully that detail will ward off insecure previous gen girl group fans, but what in the actual HELL is this number?!

They did this in 16 months with only 3 albums. I don't even need to provide any more context or words than that.

Except any artist would benefit from releasing music in the same environment. The time window of the data point selects for any extreme changes in the charting metrics and makes it an apples to apples situation.

Remember, it's a data point beginning in late 2021 not 2011. The group in second place debuted in December of 2021 and NewJeans debuted 7 months after that.

Right? No matter what people want to say about the current charts, nothing outweighs the fact NewJeans didn't even exist for the first 11 months this data started getting tracked and they STILL pulled so far ahead.

Of all the numbers I post, I think this one best represents the NewJeans wall in Korea I talk about so much.
