Correctly me if I'm wrong but playlisting contributes to charts? If that's the case then shouldn't it be looked down upon since it's indirectly buying streams by having your song on what popular playlist is it?

youtube is most relevant platform everywhere. I seen somewhere that top western artists get more streams in usa youtube than spotify. Most of the people didn't get ignore the fact that youtube is divided by mv views and youtube music streams.
