Typical stan twitter occurrence: someone starts a fanbase or translation account on twitter. They are all excited about supporting their new biases, so they do a lot of engagement and get a lot of followers. Eventually they start losing interest or the demands of other stans increase exponentially. They get treated like servants, and if they don't do whatever frivolous request the twitter stan mob wants them to do they become a target of harassment and abuse. The hate takes a toll on them psychologically and they have to leave or close their account. Meanwhile, the majority of followers end up losing a useful "service" when those accounts call it quits. It was an uphill battle when it came to competing with BPink in votes. The small staff stayed up all day and night just to vote for Twice for some midtier music award and on top of that they got a lot of bullying and death threats just because they didn't RT about Tzuyu voting in an app. They just called it quits after all that hate
idle guide was the best i-fanbase IDLE ever had. It was often up to date and offered a lot of content. But then during the height of #BLM they didn't want to RT hashtags asking Cube to make Soyeon apologize for ethnic hip. The hashtag was made by multis who wanted to see IDLE get taken down a few pegs, so they found any excuse to attack the admin of idle guide, who had some personal issues they were dealing with. After a lot of bullying and fighting between those supporting idle guide and those against them the admin closed the account.
A new fanbase in the Netherlands was doing a banner project for RV's concert in Amsterdam, but due to time constraints they couldn't print a banner for Wendy. This caused a bunch of RV twitter stans to rage against them hard. They got so much hatred they had to close the account and flee from twitter right away.
