it's like super cringe. there are predators out there who'll take advantage of them and ruin their life. it's kinda concerning how parents are willing to give their kids phones when they're like 8 and then literally not care what they do. I don't mind if parents just give kids phones pretty young when they have to do things by themselves, like a friend i had who had to get a phone pretty young because his older sister left elementary school. I also don't really mind if they give kids phones and monitor them. not like crazy monitoring, just making sure they're being appropriate and there aren't creeps following them and commenting on their tiktoks. When you're 13, you start to understand and you sometimes know how to protect against predators. You're in middle school and you're taught this and there are a lot of people around you who also have learned from their mistakes and learn from experiences.
it's concerning how pedophiles and predators are just lurking on apps like tiktok, being creepy to young children and women, and just getting away with it.
