I’ve been watching the whole Alchemy Of Souls series with a friend so far, and she expressed an opinion about the second season that I’m curious if other people also think.
She said she’s hoping for Seo Yul to become the endgame love interest for Naksu/Buyeon. I was shocked by this, and asked her why. She responded that she didn’t like Jang Uk because he was “manipulative” and always used people by doing something helpful for them but using that situation to get them to do what he wants (eg first season wanted used Naksu to train him, second season is wanting to use Buyeon to remove the ice stone). She also mentioned that she thought Yul was so much nicer and overall a better person to be with Naksu/Buyeon.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Seo Yul and I felt so sad for him when he didn’t end up with Naksu, but in the end I’d pick Jang Uk. The whole relationship is already developed with him and I couldn’t go back lol.
