Even though he hasn’t officially debuted, his solo works have hit the most in BTS. Left and Right stable in the US and Korea, he was most streamed Kpop soloist this year on Spotify, now Dreamers just reach top 10 Melon. Is this a sign that he can have a big moment with his solo debut? Which directions, conceptually, musically should he take to get those hits?

He was personally scouted by RedOne according to media and RedOne himself said it was because they wanted an asian person (most likely a soloist). Even the PIC for opening ceremony clarified that he was personally chosen, hybe didnt send anything, they didnt even post a thing about the song other than announcement and retweets.

Who else could have performed Dreamers in his place? Group could not go because of Jin that leaves Jungkook as the solo choice. He is main vocal, lead dancer, center, most popular member and most stable live singer performer in BTS.

Jungkook will be one of the most popular soloist not just in kpop scale but rather at international level! He's surpassing all the records without even having a proper solo at first. He is here to stay and ion think even his military enlistment is gonna affect him that much.

This is World Cup fever. I don't think his actual solo debut will chart like this. He will chart like most BTS soloists, 20 - 100, but not like an IU or Nayeon or Tayeon or Jennie or Rose.

Jungkook is the literal winner for having the best song of the year and locals even say it is the best since Shakira

None of those songs are his, so to speak. In left and right he was featured, it's charlie puth's song, and the other one is a world cop song

He is not lucky, he is just privileged as usual. Apparently these ppl were told that all except for him have military service lol Hybe could give this opportunity to more members or even everyone except for Jin or even whole group (but maybe performance without Jin with them saying smth about how they dedicate it to him, you know, usual pr stuff) but they pushed only their fave one for this.

But yeah, considering how hybe pushes him like hell in every possible way if the "pop boy moment" won't come hybe will make sure to make it happen. After all it's always about promotion, if you are promoted properly no matter who you are, just an average dude or actually talented, you will win especially consdiering that bts fandom is already there to give 1st push.
