AP Fires Reporter Behind Retracted ‘Russian Missiles’ Story

  • good

nowaydays news outlets want to be first to break the story, it doesn't really matter if it's true or not. however, in this case it actually mattered. thankfully we got evidence that it was a lie and we dodged the bullet. sadly, two lives were lost :(

i don't believe anything mainstream media says, any mainstream media: ukranian, russian, american, eu, my country's... warmongerers who have no problem lying to spread their agenda

zelenskyy really wanted to escalate an already horrible situation and get us into wwIII. and he's still not admitting it was ukranian missile. idiot

  • APnews.com does a *lot* of news coverage , on a global basis ...
And they get far more *correct* than wrong , in their news content ...
I will take APnews.com *any day* over what comes out as 'news' in RUSSIA ...
And , APnews.com admits and *punishes* their mistakes ...

  • There are more than a few members of AP's editorial staff who deserve the same fate. This article got approved for publication at many levels by people who should have known what it could lead to. The only explanation - and one that is all too common in the mainstream media - is that they wanted it to be true so badly that they didn't bother doing any checking.

  • APnews.com editorial staff (Supervisors) deserve the same fate. This article got approved for publication at many levels by people who should have known (better) ...

Still , APnews.com admitted their mistake , *punished* at least ONE employee.

IF that *significant* amounts of APnews.com article content was false ...
then we would likely hear of it ... NOT seeing this as that big a deal overall ...

But everyone can see it as they choose , of course ... :joy: :)

    Added one day later -->

And attempting to portray RUSSIA (PUTIN) as some kind
of 'Victimized Nation' (News Coverage) in the UKRAINE WAR situation ...

Is What It Is ... Again , everyone can see it as they choose.

firing that one journalist is a bs anyway, he was only a scapegoat. if the rule was to have at least two sources to publish the story why would they run the story with only having one? the decision wasn't only made by one person.

yes, they didn't bother checking because they wanted it to be true
