Listened to it this morning! It's really refreshing, I liked it.
I'd say I'm kind of in between? I feel like I like some of the Twice songs that the fandom collectively seems to not like (idk, Scientist and More & More were fun and Talk that Talk suited the album), and I'd go to a concert if they came near enough to my state, even though the travel is expensive, because I know enough songs that I bet it'd be fun. But I don't follow any of their news or Japanese releases, and I'm very hit or miss on knowing their B sides.

Yay, I'm glad you liked it. I'm glad you checked it out because sometimes you recommend a song to someone and they never get around to listening to it. Sometimes they say that they will but then they end up forgetting
Ah, I see. To me, whatever someone considers themselves as a stan or fan is what's true to them. Therefore, the meaning of a stan can differentiate from person to person. Imo, I'm a really hardcore fan of Twice. I've bought all their latest Korean albums since they came out (since Taste of Love in June 2021) and have spent over $200 on merch that is not including albums. I also try to keep up with all the content they put out but it's impossible for me sometimes. I've also listened to their whole discography at least 15 times.
But a stan is defined differently by different people imo. I feel like anyone who actually likes them can be a stan if they would like to call themselves one. Of course, I would be skeptical if you openly hated another member but other than that, probably not.
