voting already 10 points gap and IU digital is higher than Taeyeon this year. Strawberry Moon have more stream than INVU + Can't Control My Self combined. and Pieces' album adding to the digital.. Even if those prediction is not entirely correct. IU at least still have 20 to 25 over Taeyeon so that mean Taeyeon get 30 point and IU get less than 5?

It's because BTS are moving out of the spotlight. There's a scramble to take that spot. SM are very obvious in their thinking. (Example - Aespa give a confused speech about Naevis at the UN, Aespa get onto someone's stage at Coachella = voila Aespa are now as big as BTS and Blackpink!) They think if they can buy enough achievements for Dream that the KPop community will just accept they are now the biggest boygroup. And arguably it can work. We've seen it with girl groups this year. Everyone celebrating because Melon superglued one of their own groups to the number 1 spot.

Pledis have Seventeen touring their butts off and releasing a new album every other month so their accumulated sales will prove they are the biggest, and Stray Kids fans are going crazy on the voting apps because they feel like if they can out-vote Army's, Stray Kids will be the biggest. And none of it will work. BTS were a right time right place phenomenon as well as putting in work, and I feel like the Korean idol system is just not able to see that it was a one time deal.

I feel bad for NCT getting an undeserved daesang.

It would have been better to lose and not get anything than be in that position. I'm sure they know how undeserving they are but they're not in a position to decline the award. It would be epic if they do that and they will get a lot of respect for it, mine included. But we all know that that's not going to happen.
