Sakura is wasting her time in Hybe

  • After Izone she should have just become a social influencer through streaming and gaming. She would have received CF works both in Japan and perhaps even globally anyways considering how popular she is. Her career in Izone and stay in Korea gave her many connections to the entertainment industry.

  • Sure she would be fine in Japan, but globally? That's bit of a reach with just her time in Iz*One. She would've been like Nako and Hitomi, making some noise among her fans and in Japan, but nowhere near as much buzz as it is with HYBE and LESSERAFIM.

  • And as yourself, how relevant is Hitomi and Nako now that they are glorified influencers? How is Sera doing with her channel? Sakura wants to tour the word so being a fucking Twitch streamer won’t keep her relevant. And she is getting magazine covers left and right right now and is going to many variety shows with and without the group. Maybe she should have gotten another visual shot when she was singing the bridge but that isn’t hurting her pockets to the point that she should regret leaving.

  • I think she wanted relevancy that's why she debuted in kpop again.

  • Nako and Hitomi are limited to Japan right now. They'll eventually be forgotten by everyone but Japan and a few international Wizones like me.

Sakura otoh will still have her name out there for another 7 years, collecting more fans, getting her face and name out there to the next generation of Kpop fans worldwide. Who knows how many more endorsement deals, CF gigs, etc she will earn by being part of Hybe's flagship GG.

  • And what is she meant to do in Japan? Just streaming some gaming, or doing influencer stuff/? She's a foreigner in Korea, but as a Lesserafim member under HYBE, she still has more reach globally more than being forgotten, and only being relevant in Japan and some fans internationally.

  • Girl wants to be an idol for as long as she can. And she wants to reach the World. Straight from her own mouth. There's no point trying to decide whats best for her since SHE herself chose whats best for her.

  • I don't think she'd be that popular globally, ever since she joined Hybe she's been getting more exposure but gets overshadowed by some other members because of their charisma now imagine her being in jpop. She made a good decision but I believe sm would've been better since they promote visual members more unlike Hybe who promote main vocalists and dancers more.

It was either YG or HYBE. SM never made an offer and why would they when they just debuted Aespa?

Maybe she enjoys being an idol and being involved in music. Not everyone is just looking to be pseudo famous, and post make up tutorials and fashion hauls.

  • lmao

she's getting 1 MILLION likes on her ig posts she would never get if she stayed in Japan. Anime/games got ww popularity, not jpop and dramas unless it's entertaining tv series on netflix

the same is happening to Chaewon. Sakura wanted the ww attention and she's getting it. No better place than a company associated with bts

Japan ent is closed and she would lose all the relevance
