People try and push the idea that JYPE care less about public popularity nowadays to justify the bad results but it feels so far from the actual truth based on promotions and the kind of songs they push. Even Twice in their 7th year do promo more aligned with rookies outside of music shows.

"Focusing" is a stretch. They do some interviews, some Youtube content, and that's basically it. Hardly different from the US promo they would get before signing to Republic Records. They don't do collabs with UMG artists they could technically easily access, JYPE doesn't send them to events, they don't get radioplay despite Republic Records saying they would (lol). It's really thanks to the members they're that popular.
In general Stray Kids' promo is just wildly inconsistent. It doesn't seem that div1 is particularly focusing on anything.
