Should Joy focus more on her music career, with how disappointing her acting career has been and is continuing to be?

    I mean, much respect to Joy's perseverance and dedication, but her acting career has been nothing but disappointment and underwhelming results one after another. Maybe it's in her passion or something, but she has been handed big opportunities in lead roles one after another due to her ties with SM and from being a popular group.


    After this many cracks at it, do you guys think she should just give it up or at least focus more of her time to her singing career? She's gotten decent results with her OST work and music career with Red Velvet. All her acting has gotten her is negative reactions and comments from everyone but her fans.

    Haven't watched any of her dramas before. Do kdrama fans not like her? Like Jisoo got a lot of new fans from her drama.

    Yes, her acting stints have not been a success. But they are not an obstacle for her music career.


    Did she sit out any of RV's promotions or such?


    Solo-work, well her releases weren't a hit either, so kind of similar to acting.


    All she can do is keep trying and hope it becomes a hit - solo-singing or acting.
