are aespa over?

    SM tried the blackpink promo tactics after savage but I think it ruined all of Aespa potential. They were surpassed by IVE who are constantly promoting/releasing.

    I can't believe SM fumbled the bag this bad.

    yes ive snatched their top spot in just months and now that sm confirmed they will go on another year hiatus it's the official nail in the coffin

    they will lose majority of the hype they had left

    no I wouldn't right them off, they would best their album sales, and probably do better than girls

    Relax sm gg tradition is their gg debut poorly > hit super big in their year 3 after debut > longetivity career. Said whatever you want now, they will follow that pattern of careers.

    1- Ive have good songs

    2- Ive SMILE and does not look constipated while performing

    maybe next come back sm would make an effort and give them a good song title

    they might still have a loyal fanbase that continues to buy their albums but their hype really does seem to have died off quite a bit. if their next song tanks then that means sm might move on to their next gg

    When trying to mimic BP, sm forgot they also needed charismatic members and good music

    Let’s see if anon treats Ive or nj like this if they have a “flop(not really)” song. Last year everyone was saying they are #1 how did the narrative switch so much

    I think their hype died when the dating rumors about Winter came out. Believe it or not she was the most popular member in SK among male fans, even over Karina. Her fancams used to get the most views by a wide margin in savage and nl era but drastically decreased for Girls. I'm guessing all her male fans dipped once the dating scandals came out.

    SNSD hit big since their debut and they become the no. 1 gg with Gee which was 1 year and 4 months after debut , then had some follow up massive hits until they reached the peak and dropped a bit (still good).


    RV is more a hit and a miss from debut until now but their first hit was ICC and their red songs has done good until at one point when it changed and their velvet songs has done better


    F(x)'s first hit was Nu Abo (released less than 1 year after debut) then they released constantly a few more hits, they did slowed down because SM didn't cared about them.


    SNSD and f(x) were pretty constantly, most of their songs at their debut has done better than the other until they reached their peak, the dropped a bit, RV is the only one which had misses because of their velvet side (OOTN)

    idk it's hard to say, because they still have loyal fan base. But it was pretty dumb from sm to make them go on hiatus again and not release music this year. I really don't understand why they think they are next blackpink, blackpink is lucky to garner these much fans and casuals and hiatuses don't affect them, plus their music is overall better, so yeah not everybody can become blackpink, every group would tank to do such long hiatuses. Also imo they released on Friday which was pretty dumb too. I hope their next comeback will be better
