After the event of June 15, 2022, everything just changed for KPop.
The initiative, for the first time since SNSD's boom in 2009 , fell into the side of girl groups.
In addition, the 4th Gen acts simply exploded.
I personally think this is going to be the last hurrah of Twice and BlackPink at least in Korea, as they move the bases of their popularity to the overseas, and the 4th gen acts , almost like as if they were always there, quickly finished building up their support base.
Now, I expect next year to be the transition year of the 3rd and 4th Gen, who is now signifying the new wave post-covid. I am afraid with the end of the covid restrictions, the 3rd Gen, which reached its greatest heights among the lockdowns, are going to 'pass the torch' to the new generation.
(And there remains the question of the last remaining 2nd Generation singer, who significantly overstayed her welcome. I personally think she knows where the wind is blowing and will probably quietly ride to the sunset, since she named her concert after the sunset hours, but given her propensity to give a hard time to a new and upcoming generation, I think she will at least try to show her power to the newer crops personally at least one time before she does that.)
