There are like a dozen 4th gen GGs making great music. There are probably only three to five 3rd gen groups that did the same.
-
It has finally happened lol.
3rd gen has finally become to 4th gen what 2nd gen was to 3rd gen.
-
I agree, save for Red Velvet they still are better but so far in general 4th gen GGs are killing it!

kpop stans are really weird ...
Ever heard of different tastes ? Different eras ? Different vibes ?
And BP songs are trans-generational classics. They age like fine wine with their unique taste.
Copycats generic music stans wouldn't understand that

It depends what you like. The classic bombastic cartoony kpop was still a major feature in 3rd gen and was a big ingredient in its increasing popularity. Most of the music I'm hearing now from 4th gen sounds like it could have come from western charts, just in Korean. It's more mellow, more classically feminine.
I like it, but it also makes me think global KPop is going to end when 3rd gen does. 4th gen isn't doing anything that is going to catch on outside of domestic markets. I mean this is the gentlest way, but 4th gen is shaping up to be the mid generation, too over-shadowed and too subtle. And the few who aren't doing mild concepts have already peaked. Then once the industry realizes they're backsliding we'll get a return to loud and cartoony. So enjoy the respite.
