I don't think they are, but feel free to think whatever you want. But it's interesting that the ones who dislike or aren't fans of BTS are the ones who need them to be like their faves the most.

They're not but some parts of them are like they followed certain "idol" rules in order to survive in the industry. Anyway I could explain why they both are and aren't like other idols to you with an entire essay. But I'll choose to summarize part of the reason why they're not. Their courage. Their courage comes from their honesty and how much they "share" and that makes them stray from the common idol. They were courageous enough to criticize the very foundation of the trainee system, their boss and the kpop industry including the subject of having an "idol rapper" in all these groups PRE DEBUT and when they were only just a YEAR OLD. Normally you get this from kpop idols who have left the industry or are seniors. Now I do not even need to look towards the past. I could choose something much more recent. The entire dinner that they posted for fans had people asking "why would HYBE even post this?". They shared that they were burnt out. That the fast pacing kpop industry did not even allow them to breathe. That they were like machines writing music until they felt that they had nothing to write about. That they fear that they've lost themselves as artists. And while many other idols probably feel the same way. It takes COURAGE to admit it publicly. These are only few examples. Anyway I do not want to waste my time here any longer.

If bts are puppets then I dont know what that makes bp lol.

I know the term artistry and broadening your horizons is a foreign concept for you. But you say this like your faves and anyone else in the kpop cesspool wouldn't sell their souls for a fraction of what BTS has achieved globally.

they actively participate in the main part of their job & that puts them in the 5% of idols that do that

so, yeah they aren't like most idols.

As an army I feel like bts is under more strict rules than some rookies, Taehyung gives a vibe that he doesn't give a f but even he couldn't attend a fashion event despite getting an invitation by fashion designer himself.
